VISION FOR POSITION
This is a paid, for-credit internship that will work to close the opportunity gap for children across the Twin Cities and offer a valuable opportunity for college students. This unique non-profit/for-profit hybrid opportunity will allow college students to develop communication skills with diverse communities, gain sought-after business skills, and experience education beyond the classroom. This opportunity is ideal for someone energized by challenging work, hungry for feedback, and able to work collaboratively across lines of difference with an emphasis on cultural inclusiveness.
We aim to create a competitive, leading, challenging, and rewarding internship.
The internship includes training that covers essential communication, self-presentation, academy-specific knowledge, ethics, safety, leadership, and various life skills. Onboarding begins in the summer of 2025. Preference will be given to students who speak Karen, Kayah, Spanish, or Somali.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Director of Communications, Enrollment, and Family Partnership and the Enrollment Team to execute a plan to recruit and gather new student enrollment applications.
- Attend recruitment events including, but not limited to, canvassing, flyering, and community events.
- Effectively communicate and leverage networks to share educational opportunities with families and the community.
- Meet and exceed performance goals set by the Director of Communications, Enrollment, and Family Partnership and Enrollment Manager.
- This role is variable, with outcomes as the focus. Some evening and weekend work is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education required: Must be enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly Rate: $17 per hour with additional compensation based on outcomes.
- Hours per week: Hours are flexible and based on the student's schedule and approval from the manager. The minimum time commitment required for this role is 15 hours per week.

Classroom Teachers are committed members of a grade-level team that is closing the opportunity gap for not only the students in their classroom and grade but also the school. A Prodeo Academy Classroom Teacher is intensely focused on each student’s growth. To do this, the Classroom Teacher provides a loving, structured classroom rooted in high expectations for behavior and learning. The Classroom Teacher will report to the Principal and will work in partnership with all members of the school team and the Grade Team Leader. - Attends all professional development offered by the school, including a 2-week training in August
- Attends coaching meetings, is receptive to frequent observations, and implements feedback

COMPENSATION
Salary for this position is very competitive and commensurate with experience.
Prodeo partners with a variety of universities and teacher preparation programs to support EAs and staff in pursuing their Bachelors Degrees and Teaching License. We also offer tuition scholarships to support staff in completing their degrees and license.
